The opponent of the Kazakh fighter suffered a knockout defeat in the UFC.

The first tournament of UFC in 2025 held in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) concluded with an early defeat in one of the fights, as reported by Vesti.kz.

In the flyweight division, American Jose Johnson (16-10) lost to Brazilian Felipe Bunes (14-7) by submission in the first round.

This marks Bunes' first victory in the UFC and his 14th win in MMA out of seven losses.

Johnson is known to Kazakhstan fans for his fight against Aсу Алмабаевым (21-2), which took place last June, where he lost by unanimous decision after three rounds. This defeat marks the tenth of Johnson's career against 16 victories.

In the main event of the evening, top representatives of the strawweight division from Brazil will face off – Mackenzie Dern (14-5) and Amanda Ribas (13-5).
