The DAR Pro Team, represented by top Kazakh UFC fighter Asu Almaev (21-2), has clarified the information regarding the cancellation of his fight at UFC Vegas 103, scheduled for March 1 in Las Vegas, according to Vesti.kz.

The team of DAR Pro Team represented by top Kazakh fighter UFC Asu Almaev (21-2) has clarified the situation regarding the cancellation of his fight at the UFC Vegas 103 tournament, scheduled for March 1 in Las Vegas, as reported by Vesti.kz .

Today, January 28, news emerged about the cancellation of his bout against Australian Steve Erceg (12-3).

Initially, it was reported that Almaev withdrew from the fight and a replacement would be found soon. However, according to another source that contacted Asu, the Kazakh fighter claims he is fine and it is likely that Erceg himself withdrew from the match.

The press service of Dar Pro Team commented on the situation as follows:

"The information is false. Our fighter Asu Almaev has not withdrawn from the fight and will be flying to the USA soon," the organization stated in its Instagram story.

Almaev has fought four times in the UFC and secured four victories. Erceg has five bouts in the top league, with three wins and two losses.

Erceg is ranked ninth in the division, while Almaev is in eighth place.

The last time Asu stepped into the octagon was on October 20. At UFC Fight Night 245 in Las Vegas (USA, Nevada), he defeated Brazilian Mateus Nicolau. The fight was scheduled for three rounds and concluded in favor of the Kazakh by unanimous decision.
