Snow, icy conditions, and fog are expected in the weather forecast for February 1st.
According to the forecast from Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan will be affected by atmospheric fronts, resulting in precipitation and deteriorating weather conditions across most regions. Only the western and southern parts of the country will experience dry weather due to the influence of a high-pressure system, reports Orda.kz.

Fog and strong winds are expected throughout the republic. Drivers are advised to refrain from long-distance travel, while pedestrians should be extremely cautious on slippery streets.
- In Astana, there will be variable cloudiness, rain and snow, low visibility snowstorms, with nighttime temperatures ranging from −18 to −20 °C, and daytime temperatures between 0 and −2 °C.
- In Almaty, expect variable cloudiness with no precipitation, icy conditions, and morning fog, with nighttime temperatures from −7 to −9 °C, and daytime temperatures between −4 and −6 °C.
- In Shymkent, there will be variable cloudiness with no precipitation, morning fog, nighttime temperatures from −6 to −8 °C, and daytime temperatures between +4 and +6 °C.
