How many people were injured by fireworks during the New Year celebrations in Kazakhstan?
The Ministry of Health has released statistics on individuals injured by fireworks during the New Year celebrations across various regions of Kazakhstan, according to Orda.kz.

In terms of regional breakdown, injuries were reported as follows:
- in Almaty — 19 individuals;
- in the Zhambyl region — 11 individuals;
- in the Karaganda, Mangistau, Kostanay regions, and Shymkent — six individuals each,
in the Aktobe region — two individuals; - in the Akmolinsk, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, and Abai regions — one report each.
All injured individuals have been diagnosed with eye injuries, corneal burns, and burns and injuries to the hands.
“One patient sustained an injury to the anterior abdominal wall, in moderate condition, stable, and is receiving treatment in a hospital,” the Ministry of Health reported.
All injured individuals are receiving comprehensive medical assistance.
