"Noise is deliberately created": Tokayev comments on rumors regarding early parliamentary elections.

In an interview with the newspaper "Ana Tili," Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed rumors regarding early parliamentary elections in the country, as reported by NUR.KZ, citing Akorda.
"Шумиха возникает преднамеренно": Токаев прокомментировал слухи о возможных досрочных выборах в парламент.

The President was asked whether there would be early parliamentary elections in our country, a topic that has recently started to circulate in discussions and writings.

"I am aware that such predictions exist. I believe that this informational hype is being created intentionally. As soon as a new government begins its work, predictions of its imminent resignation arise. The same goes for the parliament. In my opinion, the members of parliament are working productively and demonstrating civic and political responsibility. Regarding the government, it is a more flexible mechanism, and changes in its composition are possible, taking into account the stance of the ruling party 'Amanat' and other parliamentary parties.

In my view, there are currently no grounds for early parliamentary elections. The elections will take place within the timelines established by law. The parliament is oriented towards long-term work. The government is acting according to approved programs and plans, gradually moving towards achieving positive results. The strategic task is to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the country and strengthen regional leadership," said the president.

Additionally, Tokayev commented on rumors about his plans to head the UN in 2026, which would lead to early presidential elections in our country. The president stated that his experience in the UN Secretariat is more than sufficient, and he has plans for the country's development laid out for many years ahead that he intends to implement.

The president also mentioned that crises should be viewed without excessive dramatization, noting that compared to other countries, we have been successfully managing all crisis situations since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
