The fine for warming up a car for more than five minutes is 5 MRP — 19,660 tenge. In case of a repeated violation, the fine increases to 10 MRP — 39,320 tenge.
“To bring charges under this article, irrefutable procedural evidence is needed. In this case, probably video recording, time stamping, and so on. If that is available, then people will face penalties in an administrative manner. Similar regulations are in place in developed countries,” he added.
