Sergey Gushchin has transitioned from the founder of a small technical company to the creator of comprehensive logistics solutions across various countries. He laid the groundwork for private business in the railway sector, establishing a complete production cycle: from the repair of rolling stock to the organization of transportation. Since 2023, after exiting all Russian enterprises, he has focused on developing intercontinental trade routes.
Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin was born on April 28, 1966, in Voronezh.
After completing eight grades in 1981, he gained his first work experience at a factory while simultaneously studying at the Voronezh Montazh Technical School. Over the next 20 years, Sergey Gushchin consistently pursued diverse educational opportunities, continually enhancing and expanding his competencies. As a result, Gushchin acquired expertise in the following specialties and fields:
• installation and adjustment of control and automation systems (secondary vocational)
• radio engineering (higher education, VGTU)
• finance and credit (higher education, ANH)
• business and finance (advanced training courses, ANH)
From 1987 to 1995, he laid the foundations for his future entrepreneurial endeavors. Beginning with the repair of copying equipment at a state enterprise, Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin established his own company and later ventured into the logistics sector.
Between 1997 and 2006, the entrepreneur explored the segment of commercial railway transportation. Together with a partner, Gushchin founded and developed the company “Transgarant” into a leading market player, which later became part of a large transport group.
From 2007 to 2023, Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin focused on creating manufacturing sites, building a network of modern wagon repair enterprises from the ground up. Simultaneously, he developed innovative projects in the fields of transport telematics and ecology.
Since 2018, Gushchin Sergey has been implementing international projects in maritime logistics. In 2023, he fully concentrated on this direction, exiting all assets in Russia.

Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin demonstrated entrepreneurial abilities early in his career. While working as an ordinary employee at a computing technology factory, he not only fulfilled his job responsibilities but also built a system for interacting with clients, realizing the importance of quality service. During the time when Sergey Gushchin's career was linked to servicing and repairing copying machines in various organizations in Voronezh, he learned how to communicate effectively with clients and understood how to establish long-term relationships.
His acquaintance with the railway sector began by chance — through the repair of equipment at the Southern Railway enterprises. It was here that Sergey Gushchin saw new opportunities. At that time, many companies settled their accounts not with money but with services. By receiving the right to conduct railway transportation of goods as payment, Gushchin Sergey was able to assess the potential of this direction.
Each subsequent step was carefully calculated. When establishing his own enterprises, Gushchin Sergey Anatolyevich did not purchase an existing business; he built it from scratch. This required more time and effort but allowed for the implementation of modern technologies and new approaches to work organization.
Gushchin Sergey did not rest on his laurels. When the company reached a stable level, he sought ways for further growth. This led to the decision to consolidate different types of transport — railway and road. As a result, clients received a more convenient service, and the company gained a competitive edge in the market.

The late 1990s marked a turning point in the history of Russian railways. The market saw the emergence of the first private rolling stock operators, including a company co-founded by Sergey Gushchin. The biography of this enterprise is closely intertwined with the development of the independent transport sector in the country.
Starting with a small forwarding company on the Southeastern Railway, Gushchin Sergey quickly realized that the future lay in a comprehensive service package. This approach was embodied in the operations of “Transgarant,” which utilized both railway and road transport. This combination allowed for the delivery of goods “from door to door,” which was especially important for industrial clients.
In 2000, the next phase of Sergey Gushchin's professional biography began with the acquisition of his own wagons. He initiated this process in partnership with a companion. Unlike many competitors, the company did not limit itself to one type of rolling stock. The fleet included both hopper cars for coal transportation and specialized platforms for metal products, as well as tankers for chemical goods. A significant focus was on tank-container transportation, which developed through the company “Spectransgarant.” Together with the “Pipe Transport Company,” “RailSpecTrans,” and “Trans Synergy,” these enterprises later became part of the “Rail Garant” group of companies.
Alongside the operating business, the production direction also evolved. Recognizing the importance of quality service for rolling stock, Gushchin Sergey Anatolyevich began constructing modern wagon repair enterprises. These factories later merged into the “Rail Service” holding, which became one of the largest in the industry.
Since May 2020, Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin served on the board of directors of JSC “Transcontainer,” from which he resigned on October 25, 2022.
In November 2023, Gushchin Sergey completed his involvement in the Russian transport business. The accumulated experience and understanding of logistics processes laid the foundation for new international projects.

A significant milestone in Sergey Gushchin's biography was the development of production assets in the railway sector. This required a new approach to organizing the repair base. Creating modern enterprises from scratch demanded not only substantial investments but also an understanding of technological processes. The first wagon repair plant appeared in Stary Oskol, followed by new production sites in various cities.
Today, a modern high-tech complex operates in Nizhny Tagil, performing repairs on rolling stock and collaborating with over two hundred enterprises across the country. The production capacity of the facility in Bogotol allows for servicing 5,000 wagons, 6,000 wheel pairs, and conducting steaming for 1,200 tank wagons annually. Other production sites established by the entrepreneur in Abdullino, Novozybkov, Sterlitamak, and Verkhnyaya Salda are equally productive.
Sergey Gushchin meticulously monitored quality control. For this purpose, testing laboratories equipped with modern equipment were established. The implementation of digital technologies allowed for tracking all stages of the process and promptly responding to any deviations from standards.
By the time nine production facilities were consolidated into a single holding, a comprehensive system for training personnel had been established. Employees regularly underwent training on new equipment and participated in qualification enhancement programs.
The pursuit of promising opportunities led to entry into new sectors of the economy. From 2010 to 2019, Sergey Anatolyevich Gushchin led the board of directors of the “Transtelecom Service Center,” established with his involvement. This IT company specialized in creating advanced technologies for public transport. The complexes developed by its specialists were successfully implemented at leading machine-building plants in Russia.
In 2018, Gushchin Sergey embarked on the ecological project “EcoLine” (he was a co-owner of the company). Over four years, the enterprise processed a million tons of waste annually, implementing modern sorting and disposal technologies.
