WhatsApp now features voice message transcription.

“Transcription is now available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian. The messenger plans to add more languages in the coming months to make this feature accessible to users worldwide. Additionally, the transcription will be completely free,” the statement reads.

The app creators emphasized the complete confidentiality of personal messages, both voice and text. They are not accessible even to WhatsApp.

To use the feature, it must be activated in the app settings. Users can also choose their preferred transcription language.
