The analysis of the black box from the plane that crashed near Aktau has commenced in Brazil.

The data from the black boxes will be analyzed with the participation of specialists from the Brazilian Air Force (Forca Aerea Brasileira — FAB).

“The extracted information will be forwarded to the Aviation Accident Investigation Department of Kazakhstan — the agency responsible for analyzing and investigating the incident,” FAB clarified.

On December 25, an Embraer aircraft from Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau. There were 67 people on board, including five crew members. Among them, 42 were citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, 6 from Kazakhstan, and 3 from Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the disaster, 38 people lost their lives.
