UFC fighter Ian Garry from Ireland (15-0) shared his thoughts on the upcoming match against the undefeated Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0), according to Vesti.kz. He vowed to hand Shavkat his first defeat and then become the UFC welterweight champion.

The Irish UFC fighter (15-0) commented on his upcoming match against the undefeated Kazakh fighter (18-0), as reported. He promised to hand Shavkat his first defeat and then become the UFC champion in the welterweight division.

Their fight is set to take place on December 8 in Las Vegas (USA) at UFC 310.

"Shavkat and I have trained together and we know how good we are. But the truth is, I will take his zero, and then the UFC welterweight championship title," Garry's words were quoted by the Championship Rounds account on social media X (formerly Twitter).

Initially, Rakhmonov was supposed to fight Muhammad (24-3), but he withdrew from the match due to health issues. Nigerian Kamaru Usman and American Colby Covington were considered as replacements, but both declined to face the Kazakh fighter. Only Garry accepted the bout with Rakhmonov.
