“I want to compete in the biggest fights. Whoever that may be, the decision will be made by Hunter Campbell (UFC matchmaker); he’s the one who calls the shots. He will make the decision.

There are a couple of guys... Paddy Pimblett has always been an option; he has a big name and has talked about me, so I’d be happy to set that up. Michael Chandler has also been an option; he’s been chatting too. Gilbert Burns... I’ve been told he’s retired,” Covington said in an interview with Submission Radio.

Covington lost to Buckley at the UFC on ESPN 63 event, which took place on December 15.

It’s worth noting that the welterweight division features Kazakh fighter (19-0), who won his last bout at UFC 310 against Irishman (15-1).
