Among the protesters was Salome Zourabichvili, the current president of Georgia. She accused the authorities of carrying out a "constitutional coup" and called for support to help her and the opposition secure new parliamentary elections in the country.
It is worth noting that yesterday in various cities across Georgia, people took to spontaneous protests after the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that the "Georgian Dream" party would refrain from initiating talks with the European Union until the end of 2028.
