«Проблема надумана»: вице-министр прокомментировал запрет на прогрев автомобилей дольше пяти минут.

Members of the Mazhilis, part of the AMANAT party faction, reviewed amendments regarding the delegation of certain state functions in the area of passenger transportation by car to self-regulation. The draft law is currently being considered in the Mazhilis, reports Kazpravda.kz

During the discussion, the deputies addressed Vice Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Lepeha, emphasizing the importance of prompt responses to sensational information that misleads citizens. Specifically, they referred to the alleged fines for warming up vehicles for more than five minutes.

“There’s no mention of 5 minutes regarding warming up. Mechanical vehicles are prohibited from stopping in populated areas with the engine running if it causes inconvenience to residents. We only hold accountable under this norm based on complaints. Last year, there were three such cases, one of which was canceled by the prosecutor's office. So, we do not hold anyone accountable for warming up the engine. This issue is exaggerated,” – assured the vice minister.

As noted by Mazhilis deputy Ekaterina Smyshlyaeva, there is a need to clarify the existing legal norm. According to her, the media frenzy surrounding the issue of parking cars with running engines in residential areas has reached inexplicably large proportions.

Additionally, earlier the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified the regulations prohibiting warming up vehicles in courtyards.
