The President of Kyrgyzstan has arrived in Astana.

Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Kazakhstan for a working visit. He was greeted at the airport by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, according to Orda.kz, citing the Kyrgyz Republic's presidential administration.

A joint meeting of the foreign ministers' council, the defense ministers' council, the committee of security council secretaries, and a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council is scheduled for Thursday.

According to the organization's press service, the events will be attended by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Andrey Serdyukov.

“There will be an exchange of views on the military-political situation in the collective security regions, a discussion of the results of cooperation within the CSTO, and prospects for further development of the collective security system. Special attention will be given to preparations for the joint celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Kyrgyz Republic is expected to inform about the priorities of its chairmanship in the organization in 2025,” the statement reads.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, arrived in the capital on a state visit.

The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergey Shoigu, will also participate in the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, TASS reports.
