JSC "NC "KazAvtoZhol" has released a video showcasing instances of traffic rule violations by drivers on the highway, as reported by Kazpravda.kz
The mass accident that occurred on the highway on January 3, 2025, is one of the largest in recent years. A total of 95 vehicles were involved in the crash, and 20 individuals sought medical assistance.
Additionally, "KazAvtoZhol" shared footage of a police escorting a convoy on the Astana – Petropavlovsk road. The video captures moments when drivers, disregarding traffic rules during the convoy escort, began overtaking each other.
“During the winter season, it is crucial to adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance while traveling in a convoy. Overtaking is strictly prohibited, as it can lead to emergency situations. The footage was recorded by cameras installed on toll road sections, prior to the incident,” the company stated.
For comparison, in the final segment of the video, the agency demonstrated the correct way for vehicles to travel in a convoy. The drivers on the Astana – Temirtau route exhibited exemplary behavior.
