Tokayev was asked to evaluate the government's performance.

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev granted an extensive interview to the newspaper "Ana Tili." The translation of the interview was published on the Akorda website, as reported by NUR.KZ.
Токаев запросил оценку деятельности правительства.

During an interview, a journalist asked the President of Kazakhstan if he is satisfied with the ministers' performance over the past year, noting that it has been 11 months since the current government was formed.

"The government's task is to ensure economic growth and improve the well-being of citizens. Overall, the Cabinet of Ministers is managing this well. Over the past year, decent results have been achieved in diversifying the economy, developing the manufacturing sector, and modernizing infrastructure. However, there are also some problematic areas.

I constantly demand more effective work and courage in decision-making from the ministers. Society has high expectations of the government's performance, and this is quite justified and natural.

Therefore, the government's work will be assessed objectively, based on specific results. The main criterion is the well-being of citizens. If economic achievements do not positively impact people's living standards, then they exist only in virtual reality," noted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President announced that an extended government meeting will take place soon, where, according to him, the results of the year will be summarized and all current issues addressed.

"I am convinced that an economic growth rate of 4 percent is insufficient for Kazakhstan. I express this even to foreign representatives. The government must seek sources for higher economic growth," emphasized Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, spoke about the government's work in October of last year, after voting in the referendum.

"In my opinion, the government is working actively, striving to fulfill the tasks I set as the head of state. We have very intense work that may not be visible to the media. I receive information, read a lot, stay informed about all events, and, of course, point out the shortcomings in the work of both the ministers and the government. But seven months is a short period. Government members need to prove themselves. The main task is to find sources of economic growth in our country," Tokayev stated at that time.

It is noteworthy that at the beginning of February this year, a new cabinet of ministers was formed in Kazakhstan under the leadership of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov. At that time, Tokayev set numerous tasks for the new cabinet, and Olzhas Bektanov stated that the ministers are ready to fulfill them.
