The Akim of the Turkestan region, Nuralhan Kushev, has reviewed the development of a large fattening complex project aimed at raising 50,000 head of cattle in the Kozhatogai rural district of the city of Arys. This project is being implemented with the support of investors and will become one of the largest complexes built using Australian technology in the Turkestan region.
The project consists of two major complexes based on the LLP “Turkestan Agro.kz,” which will focus on the production of forage crops using a sprinkler irrigation system and the breeding of beef cattle. Construction, fattening, and pasture maintenance will be carried out using Australian technology.
Currently, active construction work is underway on the premises of the partner company. In the first phase of the project, it is planned to introduce 15,000 head of cattle, with an additional 10,000 to be added this year, and 25,000 more in 2026-2027. The company also intends to utilize 4,710 hectares of land for growing forage crops using the sprinkler irrigation technology. For this purpose, products from the renowned agricultural machinery manufacturer “John Deere” are being purchased. This will ensure the complex has a sufficient supply of feed.
All operations at the fattening site will be conducted using an automated system.
The total cost of the project is 16.2 billion tenge, and approximately 100 new jobs will be created.
