"There have been no inquiries to either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the embassy. The embassy is keeping the issue under control. Just recently, the embassy published a statement directed at every Kazakh citizen currently in the United States - U.S. immigration laws are becoming stricter, and our citizens have been warned.

Typically, this regulation applies to citizens who violate visa regulations. Have there been such violations in the past? Yes, there have been. It is a common practice that, due to various objective or subjective circumstances, people arrive in the U.S. on tourist visas, overlook their allowed stay duration, and violate it. There are specific measures and mechanisms in place to enable such citizens to return to their homeland," - stated Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakaev.

Recently, the Republic of Kazakhstan's embassy in the U.S. reached out to Kazakhs residing in the United States due to the tightening of immigration policies - the country has tightened its immigration policy to enhance border security and reduce illegal immigration.

It was noted that U.S. authorities are providing foreign citizens without legal grounds to stay in the country the opportunity to voluntarily leave the United States.

It is worth recalling that on January 21, in his inaugural speech, Donald Trump announced that he would declare a state of emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border and use the military to curb illegal immigration.

Later, it became known that patrols have been deployed at the U.S.-Mexico border - police and security forces have closed off the border.

The Russian service of the BBC reported that the U.S. Department of Justice instructed federal prosecutors to open criminal cases against officials in cities and states that refuse to cooperate with the efforts of the new Trump administration to combat illegal immigrants.

Subsequently, it was revealed that the U.S. would suspend the entry of immigrants, including Ukrainians, under programs that allowed them to temporarily reside in the country.
