“Pension savings formed from mandatory pension contributions (MPC) amounted to approximately 20.4 trillion tenge as of October 1, 2024, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 22.2%. The total pension savings from mandatory professional pension contributions (MPPC) reached over 628.6 billion tenge (an annual growth of 14.4%). The highest growth over the year (44.8%) was observed in savings from voluntary pension contributions (VPC), which totaled more than 7.1 billion tenge,” the information message states.
Starting from January 1, 2024, additional funds will be deposited into the pension accounts of contributors (recipients) — mandatory pension contributions from employers (MPC-E). Over the first 9 months of 2024, the total pension savings from MPC-E amounted to approximately 170 billion tenge.
