A fighter has been named who could potentially break Khabib Nurmagomedov's record.

Manager Ali Abdel-Aziz believes that there is only one fighter in the UFC who can match or even surpass the achievements of the Russian in the world's top league, as reported by Vesti.kz.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title in 2020 and announced his retirement. He left the sport undefeated with a record of 29-0.

According to Abdel-Aziz, Khabib's cousin - Umar Nurmagomedov (18-0) has the potential to break this record.

"I have no doubt that Umar will become a champion. I am confident that he will hold the title for a long time. I believe he is the only one who can challenge Khabib's record. He could also retire undefeated. He might either match the record or set a new one - 29-0 or 30-0. I agree that Umar has a tough opponent ahead. But I believe he is stronger in every aspect," Abdel-Aziz is quoted by vRINGe.com.
