He noted that the center will promote the development and implementation of professional competencies, new technological solutions, and modern professional skills.
"Throughout the year, training camps will be organized at the National Competence Center to prepare for international and national championships, as well as specialized courses for educators," added Gani Beisembaev.
The Ministry of Education's website states that the National Competence Center will serve as a dialogue platform for businesses and the workforce training system, and will become a unified training base to prepare students in technical and vocational education for international skills competitions, develop the expert community, and enhance the popularity of trade professions.
The center will be the foundation for preparing the national team for the WorldSkills global championships and will ensure the establishment of a primary regional base for retraining and professional development, as reported by the ministry.
It is noted that similar centers successfully operate in countries such as China, South Korea, and Russia, which have already demonstrated their effectiveness in training highly qualified specialists.
"Worldwide, the WorldSkills movement is one of the main tools for enhancing the prestige of trade professions. Since 2014, the national team of Kazakhstan has successfully represented the country on the international stage," the material states.
It is worth recalling that by the decree of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the year 2025 has been declared the Year of Trade Professions in Kazakhstan.
In last year's address, the head of state emphasized that Kazakhs who achieve success through their hard work should be honored in the country.
"During this time, a reform of the technical and vocational education system must be implemented. The Year of Trade Professions will also support the promotion of the ideas of diligence and professionalism in our society.
It is essential that individuals who achieve success through honest, diligent work are always respected and honored," the president stated.
