“The court found Pisarev guilty and sentenced him to nine years in prison. Bolekbai received a three-year sentence. Both will serve their terms in medium-security facilities,” commented the department.
Petra Pisarev was previously detained in March on suspicion of accepting bribes, after which he was placed in a temporary detention facility. In May, the deputy head of regime and operational work at facility No. 57, Nurlan Bidaybekov, was arrested. Investigators established that he also accepted bribes to assist inmates.
