Their fight is scheduled to take place at UFC 315 in Montreal (Canada) on May 10.
Initially, Muhammad was set to compete for the title against the undefeated Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (19-0). However, Rakhmonov withdrew from the match due to an injury. Last week, the bout between Belal and Maddalena was announced.
Previously, Rakhmonov and Muhammad were supposed to fight at UFC 310, which took place in December 2024 in Las Vegas (USA). At that time, Muhammad pulled out of the fight due to health issues. He was replaced by Irish fighter Ian Garry (15-1).
