"Buy an iPhone and earn money": Siblings from ZKO were deceived out of five million tenge.
In the West Kazakhstan region, police have apprehended a man on suspicion of orchestrating a fraudulent scheme. He allegedly promised to profit from purchasing iPhones on credit and then reselling them at a higher price, deceiving several acquaintances, including his own brothers, out of more than five million tenge, reports Orda.kz.

Believing in the promises, the residents of Uralsk purchased three iPhone 15s and additionally handed over around two million tenge in cash to the fraudster. However, after receiving the devices, the man vanished, leaving the victims without phones and money.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the damage amounted to over five million tenge. Among the victims were two brothers who suffered significant financial losses. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated.
