A new international flight will be launched in the spring.

Starting from May 1, 2025, QAZAQ AIR will launch a new route from Astana to Samarkand with convenient transit options in Turkestan, as reported by Kazpravda.kz referencing the Ministry of Transport.

Passengers will now have the opportunity to not only reach one of the world's oldest cities quickly but also spend time in Kazakhstan's spiritual and historical center – Turkestan.

The Astana - Samarkand flight will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

Flight Schedule:

Thursday:

IQ369 Astana 16:15 – Samarkand 20:00
IQ510 Samarkand 21:00 – Astana 01:30

Sunday:

IQ369 Astana 07:25 – Samarkand 11:00
IQ510 Samarkand 12:00 – Astana 15:30

Additionally, flights from Turkestan to Samarkand are also scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays.

On Thursdays:

Turkestan 19:10 – Samarkand 20:00
Samarkand 21:00 – Turkestan 21:50

On Sundays:

Turkestan 10:10 – Samarkand 11:00
Samarkand 12:00 – Turkestan 13:00

The Kazakh airline QAZAQ AIR operates flights on modern De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft manufactured in Canada, as clarified by the Ministry of Transport.

Moreover, starting May 29, the Kazakh airline SCAT plans to open a new route to Egypt from Shymkent to Cairo.
