“Since the beginning of 2024, the Committee for Land Resource Management of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has conducted over 1,748 unscheduled inspections across a total area of 2.8 million hectares. As a result of these inspections, 1,342 orders were issued to rectify violations of land legislation affecting an area of 2.2 million hectares,” the agency's statement reads.
Based on previously issued orders, the development of 311.3 thousand hectares of agricultural land has commenced. Legal proceedings are underway for the expropriation of unused land covering an area of 200.4 thousand hectares.
As part of state control over the legality of decisions made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 875 illegal decisions regarding the allocation of agricultural land covering 368.5 thousand hectares have been identified, of which 84 decisions have already been revoked.
As a result of the work carried out since the beginning of the year, more than 2 million hectares of land have been returned to state ownership, allowing for the early achievement of the 2024 plan.
