“The loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development is granted to the Republic of Kazakhstan in the amount of 84.9 billion yen (273.5 billion tenge) with a repayment period of 11 years. The funds from the loan are being utilized to support the stability of the country's economy within the approved budget deficit for the planned period,” said Majilis deputy Tatyana Savelieva.
Recently, the Majilis began reviewing bills concerning other loans as well. The first is a loan to Kazakhstan from the Asian Development Bank for 52.3 billion yen (over 167 billion tenge) with a repayment period of 15 years, including a grace period until June 1, 2027. The second loan is provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in the amount of 52.7 billion yen (over 168 billion tenge), also with a repayment period of 15 years and a grace period until June 1, 2027.
