The head of the agency provided insights into the reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan and the main activities of the agency carried out in accordance with the directives of the head of state.
The ongoing efforts help minimize corruption risks, foster societal integrity, enhance the trust of businesses and citizens in governmental institutions, improve the effectiveness of recovering illegally obtained assets and providing legal assistance in criminal cases, as well as strengthen the international image and investment appeal of the country.
Askat Zhumagali emphasized the importance of collaboration with the British side, aimed at achieving advanced anti-corruption standards of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
In turn, Catherine Leach expressed her interest in expanding bilateral cooperation through joint projects for experience exchange.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to implement joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies.
