A meeting took place in Almaty between the Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliev and the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, head of the Organization for Trade Development of Iran, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnav. The negotiations were held to discuss increasing mutual trade turnover between the two countries.
“We see great potential in raising trade turnover with Iran to 3 billion dollars. We are ready to offer over 60 product items, including grains, sunflower oil, meat products, and other goods worth 162 million dollars for supply to the Iranian market,” noted Minister Arman Shakkaliev.
As of the end of November 2024, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Iran amounted to 296 million US dollars, which is an increase of 8.1% compared to the same period last year. Exports from Kazakhstan to Iran also demonstrated significant growth, rising by 29.1% to reach 100.6 million US dollars.
The main products exported from Kazakhstan to Iran include barley, wheat, rapeseed, fresh or chilled beef, sunflower oil, corn, lamb, goat meat, and beef.
