According to the official website of Akordy, a media forum titled "Russia-Kazakhstan: Current Issues of Media Interaction" has opened in Moscow, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Russian news agency TASS.

From the Kazakh side, participants included the State Advisor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Karin, Deputy Chairperson of the Mazhilis of Parliament Daniya Yespayeva, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Dauren Abaev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Roman Vasilenko, General Director of the Presidential Television and Radio Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raushan Kazhibaeva, and the heads of the largest media holdings and media outlets in Kazakhstan.

On the Russian side, participants included the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Bella Cherkesova, General Director of TASS Andrey Kondrashov, First Deputy Director of TASS Mikhail Gusman, General Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Public Television of Russia" Vitaly Ignatenko, Editor-in-Chief of the "Evening Moscow" newspaper Alexander Kupriyanov, along with other leaders and representatives of major Russian mass media.

During his speech, Erlan Karin congratulated the TASS news agency on its anniversary, highlighting the high global authority of the main information agency of the Russian Federation and the professionalism of its leadership and team.

The State Advisor of Kazakhstan emphasized that the media forum is a vivid testament to the dynamically developing friendship and alliance between Kazakhstan and Russia.

Erlan Karin, on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, presented the "Dostyk" Order of II degree to Andrey Kondrashov, General Director of TASS, for his contribution to the development of relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

During the event, plans of Kazakh and Russian media for the implementation of joint media projects were discussed, and a constructive exchange of views on the prospects for media development, the introduction of new digital technologies, and other relevant issues of information interaction took place.
