The Anti-Corruption Agency outlined the qualities a public official should possess.

During today's briefing held by the Anti-Corruption Agency, Daniyar Bigaidarov, a representative of the anti-corruption authority of Kazakhstan, discussed the qualities that a Kazakhstani official should possess, as reported by NUR.KZ.
В Антикоре обсудили, каким должен быть идеальный чиновник.

He emphasized that the fates of individuals depend on the decisions made by officials.

"The rights and freedoms of citizens are our highest value, and an honest official acting within the law should not fear taking responsibility when making decisions. Legitimate decisions must be made promptly. A public servant should not face any difficulties in coordinating and making lawful decisions," replied Bigaidarov.

He also urged public servants to adhere to the principles of professional ethics, honesty, fairness, integrity, and to always act within the law.

"As a law enforcement agency, we are obligated to exemplify the principle of law and order in society and to maintain a zero tolerance policy towards corruption," added Bigaidarov.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of January, the president spoke about the increasing instances of officials being detained.

Recently, during an expanded government meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the government must work more efficiently and eliminate excessive bureaucracy.

Today, the official representative of the anti-corruption agency, Daniyar Bigaidarov, was asked to comment on the president's recent remarks about officials being "intimidated" by the Anti-Corruption Agency.
