The journey to Syria proved to be challenging. Kadyrbai flew from Kazakhstan to Dubai and then traveled to the city of Amman (Jordan). After a brief stop, he crossed the border by car and arrived in Damascus. This route was chosen due to restrictions on direct flights to the country.
In his reports, the blogger showcases the restored areas of the city, interacts with local residents, and shares their experiences post-war. According to him, Damascus is gradually coming back to life—markets, cafes, and schools are operating, yet the signs of destruction remain visible.
“When I was preparing to go to Syria, many told me: ‘It’s dangerous there,’ ‘Why do you want to go?’ ‘It’s better to talk about Turkey or Europe.’ But I wanted to see everything with my own eyes. Syria is not just the war everyone has heard about, but also the people who, despite all the horrors, continue to live, work, love, and build their future,” Kadyrbai shared.
The young man plans to visit other regions of Syria to provide a full picture of what is happening in the country.
The blogger's trip has generated significant interest on social media, where users actively discuss his reports. Many support Kadyrbai's desire to tell the story of Syria without political judgments, while others consider the trip to be risky.
