Iranian media reported a series of explosions heard by residents of Tehran and one of the capital's suburbs. During a broadcast on Iranian state television, it was suggested that this could have been the work of air defense forces.
According to NBC News, the targets included barracks and a weapons depot in Tehran. Channel 12, citing Iranian sources, reported that among the sites hit was a command post of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
On the morning of October 26, representatives of the Israeli army announced the completion of the operation in Iran.
“Our planes have safely returned home. The retaliatory strike is complete, the mission is accomplished,” the IDF stated.
