The day after the declaration of brain death, the doctors spoke with Maxim's family about organ donation.

“This was quite a difficult decision for us. Maxim was in an accident on the 15th and lay in a coma for nine days. We prayed every day for him to wake up. We hoped he would have a chance to survive and return home. The doctors informed us about organ donation only after they confirmed brain death. We didn’t have much time to make a decision. We only had the night,” said Maxim's sister, Evgenia Yunusova.
