According to the official Telegram channel of Akordy, Nurlan Sauranbaev reported on the results of the national company's activities in 2024.

He mentioned the sustained positive growth trend of key production indicators:

The operational freight turnover, as he stated, reached 272 billion ton-kilometers. A record volume of cargo was transported through the Kazakhstan-China junctions - 32 million tons, which is 13.1% more than in 2023.

Additionally, according to Sauranbaev's data, container transit increased by 8.8%. The number of containers transported amounted to 1.4 million TEUs.

The head of KTZ reported on the progress of major infrastructure projects and the fulfillment of state orders for the development of transit potential.

To date, over 2800 km of highways have already been repaired. More than 1,000 km of new lines are being constructed: Dostyk - Moyinty, Darbaza - Maktaaral, and the bypass of the Almaty node. The work on the construction of second tracks on the Dostyk - Moyinty section and the bypass line Zhetygen - Kazybek-bek is ahead of schedule and will be completed by 2025.

He also discussed the expansion of the terminal network to attract cargo flows into Kazakhstan's corridors.

The increase in transit from China via the Trans-Caspian route was facilitated by the launch of the Kazakhstan-China terminal at the dry port in Xi'an. Construction of terminals in the East-West direction has begun in Almaty, at the Azerbaijani seaport of Alyat, in Budapest, Hungary, and in the village of Selyatino near Moscow. Together with the Chinese partner - Lianyungang port - the construction of a container hub in the port of Aktau has commenced.

Nurlan Sauranbaev also presented a number of new projects supported by the head of state and informed that the company plans to prioritize the development of infrastructure, the terminal network, and the implementation of digital solutions.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of intensifying work in these areas. According to him, the systematic implementation of the set tasks will lead to significant results in strengthening Kazakhstan's position as a transit hub in Eurasia.

Additionally, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met today with the renowned global entrepreneur and artificial intelligence expert, Li Kaifu.

Yesterday, on January 9, the president received the chairman of the board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" Askhat Hasenov for a report and assigned him several tasks.

A day prior, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the first deputy head of the presidential administration. Key tasks were set for Darkhan Satybaldy in his new position.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also met with the chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition in the country. Marat Omarov reported on the implementation of the agency's oversight functions, including the results of the antimonopoly measures taken in 2024, and discussed plans for competition development in 2025.
