A girl was killed by a monument in Atyrau; her father demands that all responsible parties be held accountable.

According to Aidos Sabirov, important details were overlooked during the investigation. He insists that all those involved in the tragedy should be held accountable.

He holds Ulygbek Tnaliev, who was the deputy akim of the city at the time and oversaw contractor issues, responsible. The only suspect so far is the contracting organization that was engaged in the manufacturing and installation of the busts.

“He even participated in the unveiling of the busts. Currently, a criminal case has only been initiated against the contracting organization, not against those who made the decisions. The investigation is coming to an end, but there are concerns that it may be curtailed. Tnaliev has not even expressed condolences, despite being in Atyrau for questioning,” laments the father of the deceased girl.

Meanwhile, the police have provided an update on the investigation.

“The investigation into the case is complete, and after all procedures, the case will be forwarded to court,” reported the Department of Internal Affairs of the Atyrau region.
