Darhan Akhmed-Zaki has been relieved of his duties as Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education due to his transition to a new position, reports NUR.KZ citing the government.

According to a resolution from the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akhmed-Zaki Darkhan Jumakanovich has been relieved of his duties as the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan due to his transition to another position.

As reported on the official website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, by the order of the minister, Darkhan Jumakanovich Akhmed-Zaki has been appointed rector of the South Kazakhstan M. Auezov Research University.

It is worth noting that Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki assumed the position of Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in September 2023.

According to information on the IPS "Paragraph" website, Darkhan Jumakanovich was born on March 29, 1981, in the East Kazakhstan region. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2002 and from Kazakh National Technical University named after K. Satpaev in 2007, specializing in "Oil and Gas Engineering." He began his professional career in 2002.

Prior to his role in the Ministry of Science as Vice Minister, he served as the rector of Astana IT University and was also the chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
