Recently naturalized UAE citizen and Chechen fighter UFC Khamzat Chimaev (14-0) has once again expressed his respect for Kazakhstan, as reported by Vesti.kz .
He shared a photo on his social media featuring a chocolate bar labeled "Kazakhstan," which displays the country's flag on its packaging. In the caption, the fighter included a handshake emoji, symbolizing friendly relations.
It is worth noting that Chimaev hails from Chechnya, later emigrated to Sweden, and is now officially representing the UAE in the UFC.
Previously, Chimaev has shown warmth towards Kazakhstan. In February 2024, he posted a photo with the country's flag, accompanying it with kind words directed at the people. This gesture was supported at the time by world boxing champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly.
It should be noted that Chimaev has been competing in the octagon as a representative of the UAE since September 2023. Prior to that, he held Swedish citizenship, which he renounced after his emigration.
He boasts a record of 14 wins in 14 MMA fights, including a successful streak of eight bouts in the UFC. Currently, he ranks in the top 3 of the middleweight division.
