UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad (24-3), an American of Palestinian descent, commented on the statement made by Kazakhstan's Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0), as reported by Vesti.kz.
Earlier, Rakhmonov expressed on social media: "I am very disappointed in our division. Belal, Leon, Colby, Kamaru, Jack, Sean — you all have let the fans down. The only one who backed up his words with actions is Ian, and I respect that. But don't get too comfortable, Ian — I'm coming for your 'zero' and then I will fight for the title."Muhammad responded under the post:
"Don’t let your stupid manager tweet for you; he doesn’t know what he’s talking about."
It’s worth noting that the fight between Muhammad and Rakhmonov was supposed to headline UFC 310 on December 7 in Las Vegas (USA), but Belal withdrew from the bout due to health issues. Consequently, the American promotion found an undefeated replacement in Irishman Ian Machado Garry (15-0). The match will be scheduled for five rounds and will serve as a co-main event of the event.
