The head of the agency, Marat Karabaev, made a statement regarding the investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijani aircraft.
During a briefing at the government, he discussed the final stage of the air disaster investigation. The international commission includes experts from Azerbaijan, Russia, Brazil, and ICAO.
“The specialists are in the final stage. We expect that a preliminary report will be available in the coming days, which will be officially published on our website,” – he explained.
He also added that the reasons for the crash of the Azerbaijani aircraft near Aktau will be disclosed soon.
“The specialists need time to complete their work. This is a very delicate and meticulous task. The commission is working every day, and we are in the final stage,” – the minister concluded.
Recall that on December 25, an Embraer aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board. As a result of the incident, 38 passengers died, while 29 people survived, including three children.
