Kazakh fighter Asu Alma baev (21-2) has successfully completed the mandatory weigh-in procedure ahead of his upcoming fight in the UFC, reports Vesti.kz .
Alma baev weighed in at 57.1526 kilograms, thus meeting the limit for the flyweight division.
As a reminder, the Kazakh will face the Portuguese fighter of Angolan descent, Manel Kape (20-7). Their bout will headline the UFC Vegas 103 event on March 2 in Las Vegas (USA).
Alma baev will be the first Kazakh to compete in the main event of the American promotion.
Kape is ranked sixth in the UFC flyweight rankings, while Alma baev holds the eighth position. The division's champion is Brazilian Alexandre Pantoja (29-5).
It is worth noting that in December 2021, Kape defeated another Kazakh, Zhalgas Zhumagulov, in the first round; Zhumagulov is no longer competing in the world's top league.
