According to the government website, Asset Nusupov Ilyasovich has been appointed as the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration.
Asset Nusupov was born in 1983 in Almaty. He graduated from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and also from the Illinois Institute of Technology in the USA.
He began his career in 2004 as a manager at the National Innovation Fund JSC in Almaty. It is known that he interned at the Department of Venture Project Financing of a venture capital firm in Cambridge, USA, as well as at an international investment firm in Washington.
From 2008 to 2010, he worked as a project manager at the Kazakhstan Investment Fund JSC, consultant for the World Bank's representative office in Central Asia, consultant for the Asian Development Bank's office in Kazakhstan, and deputy director of the Center for Global Economic Research.
From 2010 to 2023, he held various positions in the General Affairs Department of the Security Council of Kazakhstan. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the deputy head of the Department of Current Security Issues at the Security Council of Kazakhstan.
