Apple выплатит 95 миллионов долларов за нарушение конфиденциальности пользователей Siri.

This amount will be distributed among tens of millions of users who may receive compensation.

“The essence of the lawsuit is that in 2019 it was revealed that Apple’s quality control contractors could inadvertently hear personal information recorded using the 'Hey, Siri' feature. Among the recordings were medical data, information about crimes, and even intimate moments. Despite this, Apple stated that it does not admit any wrongdoing and agreed to a settlement,” the source clarifies.

After the scandal became public, Apple claimed that the recordings were not linked to user accounts and were not used for personalized advertising offers.

Nevertheless, the company suspended the program and changed its policy, reducing the number of people who can listen to such recordings. In the future, only Apple employees will be able to access Siri data, and users are now required to consent to data sharing.
