The Transport Prosecutor's Office in Almaty has uncovered violations at the municipal enterprise "Metro." The management allegedly pressured vendors renting space in the underground facility to cover the company's tax expenses, according to Orda.kz.

“The subway management has decided to offset its tax expenses through the rental fees charged to commercial tenants,” emphasized the supervisory authority.
Following the intervention of the prosecutor's office, the unlawful demands were removed from the contracts.
“Entrepreneurs have been reimbursed 12.5 million tenge. In total, 11 traders were affected by these actions,” added the transport prosecutor's office of Almaty.
