A new akim will be appointed in the Turkestan region.

On January 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM, a meeting of the deputies of the maslikhats will take place in Turkestan to discuss the issue of granting consent for the appointment of the regional akim.

It should be noted that the current akim of Turkestan region is Darkhan Satybaldy.

He was appointed to the position of regional head in August 2022.

According to the regional akimat, Satybaldy was born on March 26, 1974, in the South Kazakhstan region.

In 1996, he graduated from the Akmolinsk Agricultural Institute named after Seyfullin with a degree in "Economist-Manager," and in 2003 he graduated from the Kazakh Humanitarian-Legal University with a degree in "Lawyer."

He holds a PhD in Economics.

He began his career in 1991 as a worker at the "Communism" department in the Keles district.

Over the years, he has worked in the Department of Budget Planning and Financial Control of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Judicial Administration under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He served as akim of Shymkent from 2013 to 2015 and as the first deputy akim of the South Kazakhstan region.

Before his appointment as akim of Turkestan region, he held the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
