76 websites selling fake certificates have been blocked in Kazakhstan.

As a result, 740 administrative violation cases have been initiated, totaling over 401 million tenge.

“In 2024, the territorial departments of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology (KTRM) conducted 8,183 inspections, during which violations were identified in 6,080 cases (74%). As a result, 740 administrative offense cases were initiated, totaling over 401 million tenge. Additionally, during these inspections, 105 accreditation certificates were suspended/revoked, along with more than 11,000 documents for conformity confirmation,” the committee reported.

As part of the inspections, 160 samples of products were purchased, with violations found in 92% of cases. A total of 55 measures were implemented for prompt response.

As a result of the inspections of measuring instruments, 3,150 certificates were canceled, and over 13,595 units of measuring devices were prohibited from use.

“Furthermore, in various regions of Kazakhstan, instances of the sale of non-compliant products were halted, including cables, cement, electrical equipment, and motor oils. In Aktobe, for example, a cable that did not meet safety standards was confiscated, and a notification was sent regarding the need to recall the product,” the organization added.

Particular attention was given to blocking internet resources that advertised the sale of gray certificates. As a result, 76 websites illegally offering the sale of gray certificates without accreditation were blocked.
