$2.3 million has been allocated from the National Fund to enhance housing conditions.

Over 19,100 applications for funding for education have been received.

“As of December 1, 2024, since the allocation of the initial funds from the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan to all children, the JSC ‘ENPF’ has processed 41,799 applications totaling approximately $4.2 million. Of these, 22,623 applications were fulfilled for the purpose of improving housing conditions, amounting to around $2.3 million, and 19,176 applications were for educational expenses, totaling over $1.9 million,” the agency clarified.

The government agency reminded that the recipient of the targeted savings has the right to use the entire amount or a part of it, with any unused balance remaining in the targeted savings account (TSA).

The most popular sub-goals for using funds for housing improvement were:

  • adding to the deposit for housing construction savings for further accumulation (21,979 applications processed for over $2.2 million);
  • acquiring housing through civil law transactions (final payment) — 215 applications totaling approximately $21,600;
  • making a down payment for obtaining a mortgage loan to purchase housing — 176 applications processed for about $17,700.

The most popular sub-goals for educational expenses were:

  • payment for educational services from educational institutions located in the Republic of Kazakhstan, either in installments (for each academic period or academic year) or as a one-time full payment (for the entire duration of study) (15,885 applications processed for around $1.6 million);
  • adding to the educational savings deposit under the educational savings deposit agreement (2,477 applications processed for approximately $248,600);
  • payment for educational services from foreign educational institutions in installments (for each academic period or academic year) or as a one-time full payment (for the entire duration of study) (702 applications processed for over $70,400).
