Festive yurts of Father Frost have appeared in Almaty, designed in a national style. They are set up in three iconic locations of the city: at Astana Square, Abai Square, and on Arbat.
The yurts, where Father Frost welcomes guests, are open for visitors daily from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM until December 31. Residents and visitors of the city can take photos with the main New Year character and immerse themselves in an atmosphere of joy and wonder.
On December 31, the yurts will remain open until midnight at Astana Square, and at the moment the year 2025 arrives, a fireworks display will light up the sky here following the New Year concert, marking a spectacular conclusion to the festivities.
In the days leading up to New Year, various creative workshops, engaging games, live performances on decorated stages, and meet-and-greets with beloved New Year characters will take place near the yurts.
Masters and artisans will conduct workshops for the whole family, where guests can create unique New Year decorations by hand. It will be possible to decorate wooden Christmas ornaments, design mugs with vibrant drawings and decorative elements, create musical boxes, and bring to life plaster figures with New Year themes. These activities will allow everyone to feel like a true creator and take home a piece of the holiday.
The miracle houses create an atmosphere of magic and celebration, enhancing the New Year events.
