The capital hosted a presentation of the film "Ұстаз" directed by Erlan Oshakbaev for teachers, veterans, and education sector workers in the capital, reports Kazpravda.kz
According to the Ministry of Education, the film tells the story of a young specialist returning to his native village as a teacher. It highlights the importance of the educator's role, the desire to improve the educational and upbringing process, as well as the challenges and joys encountered in the course of professional activity.
At the presentation, Minister of Education Gani Beisembaev noted that in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, plans are in place to broadcast the film on the country's main television channels.
“The head of state has emphasized in his speeches that educators play a crucial role in our society. These words have been supported by concrete steps aimed at assisting teachers and enhancing the quality of education. One of the first and significant steps was the adoption in 2019 of the Republic of Kazakhstan Law on 'The Status of Educators,' which addressed issues related to reducing teachers' workloads, relieving them from unnecessary functions, and establishing new incentives. The main mission of this film is to demonstrate that being a teacher is not just a profession but a true calling, a mission. I hope it serves as an important reason for a deep reflection on the role of educators in society and becomes a guide for young teachers, helping them realize their responsibility and inspiring further development in their profession,” concluded the minister.
The idea for the film "Ұстаз" was conceived by Beisen Kuranbek, with the screenplay written by Gulmira Zerbay.
The film features actors from the Zhetysu Regional Drama Theater and the Poetic Theater of the Palace of Schoolchildren. Filming took place in the region with the support of the "Zhetysu" television channel, and it will later be shown on the main television channels of the country.
