The Asset Recovery Commission, led by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, continues its work under the Law on the "Return of Illegally Acquired Assets to the State." All funds are directed to a special state fund for further redistribution towards socially beneficial purposes.
By the directive of the head of state, the government has decided to allocate funds from the special state fund for the implementation of the first two social projects: the construction of a sports complex in the village of Zerenza, Akmolinsk region, at a cost of 2.1 billion tenge, and a music school in the village of Temirlan, Turkestan region, for 890 million tenge.
These initiatives aim to develop social infrastructure in rural areas to enhance residents' access to educational and sports services.
In the village of Zerenza, Akmolinsk region, a sports complex covering more than 6,000 m² is planned, with a capacity of over 80 people per shift. This facility will provide leisure activities for the active population, as more than 14,500 people in the area regularly engage in sports. According to the project, the center will be equipped for wrestling, boxing, and skiing disciplines, with two gyms furnished with the necessary equipment. The sports complex will also include storage and other auxiliary rooms essential for comfortable training and quality recovery for athletes.
In the village of Temirlan, Turkestan region, a new art school for 300 students is set to be constructed. The existing frame building, built in 1974, does not meet modern sanitary and fire safety standards and is not eligible for major repairs. However, the complex is currently operational, serving up to 420 children, which is twice its current capacity, with 45 teachers providing instruction. The new project will create conditions in the village for quality supplementary education in the arts.
Children will have the opportunity to engage in music and choreography in comfortable settings. As of today, 177 billion tenge has been accumulated in the special state fund. All these funds will be directed towards the construction of social and infrastructure facilities, and other socially significant objectives, including projects in healthcare, education, mass sports, and more.
The Asset Recovery Commission is chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, with the working body being the Asset Recovery Committee of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan.
